Episode 35: Your Complete Guide to Digestive Health

Your digestive system is complex yet extremely fascinating. I never realized exactly what my body did when I ate and have a new found respect for what our bodies are capable of.

Desiree Nielsen, RD with a focus on digestive health goes deep into exactly what our body does from the moment we think about eating all the way down to when we go to the washroom.

Your digestive track is like a precious ecosystem and really deserves so much more attention. You have so much bacteria in your gut that needs to be protected.

If you aren’t caring for your gut the way you should, it will definitely have impacts on your health in different areas.

Desiree goes into detail on the different impacts to your health you can experience and I was surprised by how the gut is really the root of many issues. As Desiree says, “Your gut isn’t Vegas, what happens there doesn’t stay there”.

And this cannot be more true. So grab yourself a cup or organic tea and maybe grab a notebook because if you are like me, you’ll want to take some notes! Stay tuned as this is only part 1 and part 2 goes deeper into how we heal our guts but also the million dollar question – what our poo should look like!
