Have you ever looked at your dream or goals list and wondered “Am I capable of actually doing this?”
I know I have! I am quite a list maker – and love planning out all the goals I want to achieve.
But often, I will look at this list…and my “mean girl” rears her ugly head (or rather voice) and says “Ha! You actually think you are going to be able to do that?” Or maybe “Who do you think you are! You aren’t capable of doing that…”
You may be surprised to know but speaking into a microphone is actually a big fear of mine. When I am about to speak into one, the room goes silent, my ears go red, my brain disconnects from my mouth and I start to ramble. I literally have no clue what I am saying because I am just so nervous.
But I won’t let this stop me. Starting a podcast was on my list to do for my business and the fear of missing out was far greater than my fear of speaking. In my career, I have been pushed so far outside my comfort zone that I really strengthened my muscle of being okay in the discomfort.

Now I refuse to give things much thought because otherwise, I will talk myself out of it. I will give myself many reasons why I am not capable of doing it.
But I am capable. When I take a look back on everything I have done in my life so far, it is proof that I am more capable than I give myself credit for.
And so are YOU! If you struggle with this as well, take some time to write down all your achievements. You will see that you are actually more than capable yourself. The only thing that can stop you is you. So let’s get out of our way and go after those dreams – because the world needs us!
